What we collect

Enquiries and bookings — the name, email address, phone number and any message you send through our contact or booking forms.
Student records — for enrolled students: name, year level or age, school (where lessons are delivered through a school), parent or guardian contact details, lesson attendance, and lesson notes used to track progress.
Payments — invoices and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment providers; we do not store card numbers.
Website — basic technical and analytics data about how the site is used.

How we use it

To reply to enquiries and arrange lessons
To run lessons, track student progress, and share progress updates with parents or guardians
To issue invoices and manage payments
To meet our obligations to schools where lessons are delivered on site
To improve our website and services

Who we share it with

Schools — where lessons are delivered through a school, we share the lesson information that school needs to run its music program.
Service providers — the tools that help us operate, such as our website host, booking and studio management software, and payment processors. They only handle the information needed to provide their service.
When required by law.

Internal tools and Google services

We use internal software tools to manage our own email, lesson scheduling and administration. Where those tools access a Google account, access is limited to our own business accounts, being the Six Strings Townsville accounts and Damien Hill's own mailboxes. In that use:

Google user data is accessed only to read, organise and send email on behalf of those accounts, and to schedule lessons
Access is never used for advertising, and the data is never sold
Google user data is not transferred to third parties except as needed to provide the tool's function, to comply with the law, or with the account holder's consent
No humans other than the account holder read the content of those accounts, and only for the purpose of running the business

Storage and security

Information is stored in our business systems and those of the providers listed above. We take reasonable steps to keep it secure and to keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
