Learn songs by your favourite bands, work on your technique and write your own music. Lessons can cover artists from Avenged Sevenfold to Polyphia.
Lessons for teens who want to play metal, punk, indie or alternative music
Bring in a solo by Avenged Sevenfold, a Polyphia fingerstyle part or a Blink-182 rhythm track. We'll break the difficult sections into steps you can practise.
If you have an idea for a song, bring it to the lesson. We can use theory, improvisation and recording tools to develop riffs and finish tracks, whether you want to play in a band or record on your own.
Your taste in music sets the direction of the lesson
Our instructors teach the techniques and tones used in metal, punk, indie and alternative music.
You might want to play a Synyster Gates solo, learn a Polyphia fingerstyle part or write a punk song. We plan the lesson around that goal.
Parents receive regular updates about progress, current goals and what needs more practice at home.
What to expect while your teen is learning
Regular email or text updates explain your teen's progress, upcoming goals and anything that needs extra practice at home.
Students work on technique, theory and creative ideas in a structured lesson without losing sight of the music they came to learn.
We use backing tracks and recording tools in lessons. Students can also access practice material online and track their progress.
Goals, familiar songs and a supportive lesson environment help students keep going when a difficult technique takes time.
